Kabul says to renew Taliban-U.S. talks in Doha

A spokesman for the Taliban-led administration Zabihullah Mujahid has stated talks between the Taliban and the US would resume in Qatar’s capital Doha.

“The officers of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan would resume talks and proceed the talks with U.S. representatives in step with the Doha settlement and the talks might be useful,” the state-run information company Bakhtar quoted Mujahid as saying.
