Volkswagen boosts five-year funding in electrical to 89 billion euros

FRANKFURT: German auto big Volkswagen stated on Thursday that it might enhance its funding in electrical automobiles and digitalisation to 89 billion euros ($101 billion) over the subsequent 5 years.


The 12-brand group will make investments 56 per cent of its 159 billion euros of funding into growing the vehicles of the long run, up from 50 per cent, and estimates that “one in 4 vehicles bought in 2026 may have a battery electrical motor”.
